Tamara Begley is a graduate of the Youth Performing Arts School and has
earned a BFA in Choreography and Performance from the University of North
Carolina at Greensboro.  She has performed professionally with the John
Gamble Dance Theater in North Carolina; Art! Art! Barking Dance Company and Moving Collective in Louisville; and Jessica Marchant in Washington,DC. 
Currently, Tamara is Co-Director of Moving Collective, a Louisville-based
dance collective .  Tamara has recently completed an internship in
Washington, DC at Dance Place, one of the nation's most prolific presenters of dance.

Donna Richards

Donna Richards , is a graduate of the Los Angles School of Performing Arts at UCLA with a BFA in dance performance. Upon graduation, Donna moved to New York City where she lived for 12 years. She has performed and traveled with various Broadway shows such as “Chicago,” “Cabaret,” “Sweet Charity,” “West Side Story,” “A Chorus Line,” “ 42nd Street,” “Oklahoma,” “Showboat,” and “Pippin,” to name a few. While living in New York, Donna taught for various dance studios in the area including the David Howard Studio, Steps, and the Broadway Dance Theater.

Now living in Kentucky, Donna is afreelance dance instructor and choreographer for dance studios in Hardin and Jefferson Counties. Donna has also been an artist in residence in schools throughout Kentucky and has designed “The Artist; The Athlete”, a KERA based program in dance. She is also active with the Music Theater of Louisville summer boot camps and has just choreographed her second production for their summer season this year, “Hello Dolly.” She has actively choreographed production numbers for various vocal music programs as well as musicals for area schools and performance organizations.

Donna has been involved in many facets of entertainment as a performer, producer, choreographer, and costume designer. She has studied with teachers from all over the world and performed throughout the United States. Giving artists a chance to create and follow their hearts through performance and dance is a labor of love she feels compelled to do.

Safiyyah
Safiyyah: Since being a young child, Safiyyah has loved to dance, always watching the latest dance videos, picking up and practicing every move. After intense self-training, Safiyyah trained with some of the best choreographers in different styles of dance, from Hip Hop choreographers CiCi Kelley, Coy Mcall, and Gerri Wray, to Jazz legends Leon Von Brown and Daisy Yunju. Safiyyah has performed with companies such as Dance 411, a renowned Hip Hop dance company located in Atlanta, GA , and the Atlanta Ballet. In 2005 she was choreographer for the opening performers for the R&B group Pretty Ricky. She has choreographed many different programs in both Kentucky and Georgia. As a former dance instructor for Southern Elite Gymnastics Academy in Atlanta GA, Safiyyah worked with some of the top ranked gymnasts in the US. She has a wide variety of experience and an eclectic style of dance, which lends her great versatility as a professional dancer! Currently an instructor for Studio S.I.L.K., Safiyyah fuses the flavor of Hip Hop and Jazz as well as other dance genres. “I truly love dance and sharing my gift with others. I eat, sleep, and breathe dance! It brings me a great amount of joy and it’s how I vent! Dancing is cleansing for me! A great dancer is a passionate dancer…believe that!”

Christina Dianne Smith – Camino Flamenco Since Christina was first exposed to the art form of Flamenco, she was captivated. Determined to develop her skills as a flamenco dancer, she began her studies in 1999 with Ballet Español in Louisville, KY, and became an apprentice under the direction of Mara Maldonado.

Over the last 8 years, Christina has studied with Ana Maria Blanco in Jerez de la Frontera, Vicente y Rosa Fernandez, Farruquito, Angela Ponzio, Nelson Carillo, Carmela Greco and the legendary Manolete. Christina has also studied with and performed alongside flamenco artists such as Eduardo Martinez, Arturo Martinez, Antonio Granjero and Angel Muñoz. She is a founding member of Soleo Flamenco Dance Company under the direction of Angela Ponzio in Chicago and performed in Soleo’s debut show Eros in May of 2006.

Christina currently co-directs a professional flamenco dance troupe comprised of 4 dancers, 2 guitarists and a singer. This flamenco cuadro brings the traditional dance and music of southern Spain to the region through professional entertainment packages, community outreach programs and educational programming. Camino Flamenco has provided professional entertainment for wine dinners, university fundraisers, and community festivals and appears regularly at Caffe Clasico. They currently offer children’s dance classes, adult beginner classes and flamenco guitar classes in a variety of artistic locations in the Louisville area.
